Contract Technical Writer/Editor – Ann Arbor, Michigan. Health Level Seven, a standards development organization in the healthcare space, is seeking a technical writer/editor for a short term project to edit and assist with production of numerous documents related to its Services Aware Enterprise Architecture Framework (SAEAF) project.  These documents are complex and inter-related, complicating the task of creating content and keeping all project documentation in synch and up to date.

Technical Illustrator – Lexington, Kentucky. Aries Group a national staffing firm based out of Massachusetts is in need of a Technical Illustrator for an 11+ month contract located in the Lexington, KY area. Candidate will be responsible for preparing illustrations and drawings to depict technical equipment. Candidate MUST have experience with ARMY manuals (no others are acceptable) such as parts books, maintenance manuals, modifications, integrations, etc. This project will be illustrating Field Level Maintenance Manuals. Experience can be for ground vehicles, aircraft or mobile field support equipment. Candidate will render preliminary or final products to include assembly and component drawings, exploded views, perspective and isometric drawings and schematic/wiring diagrams. Candidate MUST have experience with one or more of the following: CorelDraw/CorelDesigner, Adobe Illustrator and AutoTrol TI. Candidate MUST be a US citizen with either an active secret clearance OR the ability to be processed for a secret clearance.

The position is supporting a marketing departments print communications projects. Prior experience in all aspects of digital and print development and execution. They should have demonstrated ability to effectively use office automation/communication software and tools including the use of digital media tools such as Macromedia Flash, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Quark Express, Photoshop, CorelDraw, Illustrator, and digital video editing tools. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to change priorities quickly and mange multiple projects simultaneously. The person should exhibit a basic understanding the strategic selling process and effectively direct creative and technological strategy. They will provides sales and dealers assistance in defining, designing, executing and reinforcing customer-specific selling campaigns.

Technical Writer. Arrow Strategies LLC is seeking a contract technical writer for a client in Kalamazoo. Job involves taking specs and putting into workable format. It will entail extracting useful knowledge articles used by Service Desk, and various IT areas, and compiling into workable format. Will interact with Service Desk teams to glean viable knowledge to their job duties.

Ideal candidate will need to have strong MS Office, Visio, and strong ITIL experience. MUST type 60 words per minute. Must be self sufficient enough to work independently or within a team.

Manager would like to start this project as soon as possible. Strong writers required with technical knowledge and or experience. Must have excellent writing skills, spelling, grammar and communication skills. Cell Phone is required. There may be travel to other locations for training or meetings, but all will be on the Pfizer Shuttle (bus or plane).

This position is not a high-level technical writing position - it will consist of writing SOP's. We need people who are technically savvy, possess good writing skills, can take direction and ask questions.

Technical Writer. Our client in Cadillac, Michigan is looking for a Technical Writer for its Engineering Department. This is a three month contract position with a direct hire opportunity and the pay will be $38,000-$48,000.

The candidate will write and edit technical reports, brochures, catalogs and manuals for internal documentation as well as external publications in Microsoft Word. The second responsibility of this position is to do the graphic designing of the publications with Photoshop or another digital photo software.

At least two years of experience doing technical writing is needed and a Bachelors degree in engineering for a related technical field. Graphic design background is also required.
